Design Notes
LexA was PCR amplified without a stop codon to enable the construction of a fusion protein with yeast codon optimized BFP. BFP was also designed without a stop codon for the purposes of integrating into the Ade2 locus of S. cerevisiae. This Ade2 locus contains a terminator region flanking BFP downstream.
Source
LexA was PCR amplified from the plasmid form of a previously submitted part (BBa_K105005) from iGEM08_ESBS-Strasbourg. Yeast codon optimized BFP was synthesized by the uOttawa team using Mr. Gene DNA synthesis.
